PUSH YOURSELF TO THE LIMIT (Part 2)

So it has been my daily routine- GYM.

Months have passed already. I can see that my body’s improved. What an achievement! If before I had a 32 inches waistline, now, it’s only 29! Would you believe that? An ideal waistline for a man is ……….

It really a depends on how close you can get to a chest-to-waist ratio of at least 1.4 or shoulder-to-waist ratio of 1.6 or higher. Reaching either will give one a Venus de Milo type look or better and a V-Shape envious from others. All you need is a tape measure and a calculator.
I think, an ideal waistline for an average man is 32. Well, it really depends on your body mass, height and weight as well.

It takes hardwork, discipline and determination to achieve a goal like that. Sabi nga nila, No pain, no gain.

True enough, what the mind can conceive the body can achieve.

There are times na sumasagi sa isipan ko na wag nalang ipagpatuloy. Pero sa kabilang banda, naisip ko namang, ‘Sayang…’

Sayang kung basta-basta ko nalang ititigil ang nasimulan ko, or what I usually call, ‘my beauty workout regimen.’

Until such time that I decided not to stop my daily body workout routine.

I researched also for some body workouts that can be done at home. Habang nagbrabrowse ako sa facebook timeline ko, there’s this facebook page liked by my friend there, a friend of mine who’s a gym-addict too. And I was so happy that this facebook page is related sa mga body workout exercises. So what I did was, downloaded the pics there and was able to transfer it to my phone so that every time na mag-eexercise ako , may guide ako, TRIBE SPORTS .

Eto yun, it can be your guide too. Because, going to the gym , lifting weights, are not enough. Lalo na sa akin, ayaw ko maging bulky ang katawan, I just want my body to be leaned and toned.

And mindset ko every time na gigising ako sa unaga ay magawa man lang kahit ni isa dito. Syempre, hindi maganda na lahat ng workout routine na ‘to ay gawin mo in just one day. Bakit? Kasi minsan, pag lahat ng muscles sinasabay mo sa workout na dapat para lang sa two or three-muscle group, magseself-cannibalize yung mga muscles mo. Pag nangyari yun, useless din na nagwoworkout ka palagi sa gym, at mas useless yung mga food intake mo na rich in protein. Mamamatay lang yung muscles mo pag di proper ang program mo, this also goes with working out in the gym.

And of course, pag nakaramdam ka ng sakit sa ilang muscles parts ng katawan mo, normal yun. Ibig-sabihin lang nun, tama yung ginagawa mo. Pero,  take note of this, for instance, ang winoworkout mo ay abdominal area mo o sa core mo, then pag gising mo sa umaga, ang sumakit na area is sa lower back part of your body or sa mga thighs mo, isa lang ibig sabihin nun, mali ang pag-eexecute mo sa ginawa mong exercise.

There are so many cases like that wherein a certain individual does a wrong  execution of a certain body workout. like sit-ups, crunches, etc etc.

Pain has been my partner always. But that pain has been already tolerable.  Di ko na yun iniinda pa. Kumbaga, normal na sa akin. Bagkus, mas nagaganahan na ako mag-gym at mas lumalakas ako sa pagbubuhat. At syempre mas naeexecute ko na ng mabuti ung program ko.

Kung matitiis mo ang sakit, iexpect mo na mas maganda ang outcome nito sa’yo.

Isa din siguro sa sikreto ko kung bakit pumayat ako ng husto ay yung mga pagkain  lagi kong kinakain.

Before, I used to go to fast-food chains like McDonals, KFC, Jollibee and the like. It was summer time that I started avoiding such foods. It was very for me at first. It seemed like I always want to have my snacks there especially if you are surrounded by a circle of friends having much so addicted with those kind of foods.

Pero sabi ko sa sarili ko, ‘No.’

Ayaw ko na abusuhin ang sarili ko sa mga ganoong pagkain.

Ako din ang magsisisi sa huli. Oo, masarap. Ang tanong, masustansya ba?

Ayaw kong tumanda ng maraming sakit. Ayaw kong tumanda ng masyadong bata. Ayaw kong tumanda ng nasasanay ako sa ganon. Well in fact, veges are always served at home, so bakit pa ako kakain sa ganon? Di naman masama if paminsan-minsa,  once or twice a month? Oo,  kaya ko na  yan ngayon. I maybe a hypocrite if sabihin kong di ako nagcracrave sa mga pagkaing tulad ng chicken spaghetti, fries, etc etc. Minsan I do crave hard for that. But you know what, that craving can suffice by means of taking or eating fruits nalang. And after that, you’re satisfied again.

Wheat bread, apples, white eggs, roasted chicken, lots of fruits like orange, mango, pineapple, banana etc.

Those are the foods that I usually eat daily. If before, marami ako mag-rice,  ngayon, sa morning nalang and it’s just half-rice. I’ll always make sure na laging balance diet ako. Wheat bread really contributes a lot for my body. Eating foods with fiber can make you leaner and toner as well. It will eliminate toxins inside your body. So every morning, or the other time of the day, expect mo na lagi kang magrerelease ng body wastes.

Water. Drinking plenty of  water can make your skin glow, and at the same time, keep your muscles intact.  It keeps you hydrated also. Importante yan lalo na kung ang isang tao ay active sa gym. Buti nalang, kahit noong bata pa ako, sinanay na ako ng Mom ko na uminom palagi ng maraming tubig. Siguro kahit abutin ako ng 1 to 2 hours sa pagwoworkout, I never get thirsty. Marami akong source  of electrolytes sa katawan.  Drinking water is an important step to eating healthy. I made sure I drank as much water as my body could consume, which is important. You are trying to get your body back into shape and lose weight Water helps you flush all those unwanted impurities out of your system. The human body contains fifty to 70% water. Because water does not remain stored in the body, we must replace it continually. Water contains no fat grams or calories and is one of the healthiest fluids to drink. Adults must consume two to three liters of some form of liquid each day.

Marami talagang pwedeng mabasa sa net, or marinig sa tao kung ano dapat at hindi dapat kainin at hindi dapat gawin upang ma-achieve ang isang ideal na katawan. Minsan nga, nacoconfuse na ako, nagrurumble na minsan sa isipan ko. Pero nasa tao din yan eh, kung paano niya i-weigh ang mga iyon. Common sense lang din ang kailangan.

Always remember too that being healthy is more than being physically fit!

Keeping a yourself healthy emotionally, physically, and spiritually will help you build develop a happy, productive life.

I believe we need to take care of ourselves not just spiritually and religiously but we need to take care of ourselves physically also. The way we take care of ourselves affects us in many ways. When I started to take care of myself physically, I began to notice an increase in my energy level. Before then I was lacking energy, feeling fatigue. I was feeling sleepy. When I started to focus on my health and began to take better care of myself, I felt more emotionally stable and spiritually in touch with myself. I understood myself even better.

I feel so proud of myself! =)

  1. Ngsimula po ako mga isang buwan na..wla po ako sa gym sa bahay lang…prob ko now id gusto ko mag bulk…pero kahit anung kain ko di ako lumalaki..anu po ba ang tamang pgkain.advice pls…
